To be better prepared for the annual China Eurasia Expo in the city of Urumqi, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, Sept 1-6, the Ili Kazak prefecture delegation held a leadership conference in the city, on Aug 31, with Liu Huijun, an Ili Party standing committee member, on hand to address the gathering, which pulled in leaders and delegates to report on their progress.
The China Eurasia Expo has commercial and cultural activities representing Asia and Europe and for this year’s Expo, the Ili Kazak delegation set up 32 booths, with 24 enterprises and more than 260 people taking part.
Liu explained to the meeting that, for this Expo, the 4th, the Ili delegation needed to concentrate on opening-up and cooperating with others in developing the Silk Road Economic Belt and to show a new image of Ili as a future logistics, finance, and information port, and tourism area. He emphasized the need for the delegation to seize this opportunity to explain its investment policies, environment, natural, and tourism resources and get more companies to invest in Ili through partnerships with Eurasian countries.
